On September 8 at 12:30 p.m AdaptiveCities has the honor of hosting Benedetta Tagliabue.
Italian by birth, Catalan by adoption, Benedetta Tagliabue is among the most incisive figures in international contemporary architecture.
At the helm of the Barcelona-based “Benedetta Tagliabue-EMBT studio”-with offices in Shanghai and Paris, she signs major works such as the Scottish Parliament in Edinburg, the Santa Caterina Market, the headquarters of Gas Natural Fenosa and the Diagonal Mar Park in Barcelona, and the Spanish Pavilion at the 2010 Shanghai World Expo, winner of the RIBA Best International Building 2011 Award. She also directs Fundació Enric Miralles, which promotes the experimental architecture of Enric Miralles.
Invited as visiting professor by the world's most prestigious universities, she offers an always original perspective on urban transformation, starting from the historical roots of each place.
