The brand-new book series Insights is delighted to announce its forthcoming first volume, expected to be released in autumn 2020.
The book, entitled “The global city – The urban condition as pervasive phenomenon”, is the more extensive output of the fruitful work carried out during the AISU conference which took place in Bologna in September 2019.
The impressing number of multidisciplinary perspectives and diverse methodologies employed by the authors clearly illustrate the great potentiality of ground of discussion arisen in the investigation of the phenomenon of globalization in our cities. In most of the cases the comparative approach has been preferred in order to examine upsides and downside with the past and vice versa. The book is thus a great collective effort to a multifaceted contribution to the topic.
The book comprises almost four-hundred full papers arranged in seven thematic sections, that in turn are divided in fifty-five chapters, each one introduced by argumentations that clears up the aims and scopes of the full papers attached. The book is curated by Marco Pretelli, Ines Tolic, Rosa Tamborrino.
