Françoise Choay, a prominent scholar of urban and heritage history, has passed away at the age of 99. She is credited with authoring two seminal texts, among others: The City: Utopia and Reality, published in 1965, and The Allegory of Heritage, 1992. Thanks to her, Cerdà gained international resonance, as did Boito and Giovannoni (until then virtually unknown in France).
