Among the proposals examined, the project will be chosen and will be presented as an Italian candidature for the Council of Europe Landscape Award.
The procedure implemented by the Ministry, aimed at ensuring the identification of particularly excellent interventions, has already allowed the awarding of prestigious awards and mentions by the Jury established by the Council of Europe in previous editions.
During the evaluation, particular attention will be paid to proposals with activities aimed at pursuing virtuous objectives such as, for example:
1. redevelopment and enhancement of archaeological, architectural, historical, artistic, material and immaterial assets;
2. requalification and valorisation of traditional rural uses and landscapes;
3. requalification of urban, peri-urban areas and degraded or abandoned urban suburbs;
4. 'zero' soil consumption;
5. contrasting hydrogeological and / or seismic risk;
6. reduction of environmental pollution factors;
7. cultural integration between old and new residents, also from other countries;
8. implementation of forms of sustainable tourism, according to the principles of the World Code of Tourism Ethics;
9. use of innovative technologies for the purpose of eco-sustainability;
10. attention to disabled people.
