COLLABORATIVE CULTURAL NATURAL HERITAGE
Summer School “Collaborative Cultural Natural Heritage” (ONLINE EVENT)
July 4th – 16th 2021
• 1st week – July 4th – 9th 2021: MOVING RURAL HERITAGE TO THE FUTURE with H2020 Ruritage Project;
• 2nd week – July 11th – 16th 2021: MOVING THROUGH THE PAST in Digital Nubia;
This intensive international summer school program will equip participants with skills to build collaborative projects in heritage and regional development research, with a focus on large scale cultural and natural landscapes.
Participants will explore information and data formats for heritage identification, description and representation and discuss the role of local or indigenous communities in determining the value of heritage.
The objective of the program is to research and re-create both existing and lost historical contexts of complex and large-scale areas.
The program is composed of two weeks with distinct coordinated activities.
Participants can apply separately for one week or for the overall comprehensive two-week program.
Participants will have the opportunity to work on a case study with international experts from specialised fields.
It is 4th edition as part of a Joint Research project on methodologies, tools and critical approaches to “Cultural Heritage in Context. Digital Technologies for the Humanities” organised by a joint initiative by the Politecnico di Torino (POLITO – Italy), Department of Urban and Regional Studies and Planning, and the University of California (UCLA – US) Cotsen Institute of Archaeology. UNESCO, Università di Bologna, European Institute of Cultural Routes are the partners of first week program realised in the framework of H2020 Ruritage project.
