The conference will take place in Barcelona from 2 to 5 September 2026 and will focus on the central theme “City Networks in Europe and Beyond.”
Building on Barcelona’s long historiographical tradition in urban history, the conference will explore cities as interconnected nodes shaping Europe and its global relations, from the medieval period to the contemporary age.
EAUH Barcelona 2026 will bring together scholars from multiple disciplines—urban history, geography, architecture, urbanism, heritage and museum studies—through main sessions, specialist sessions and roundtables, organised in thematic clusters to encourage dialogue and exchange.
